NO FISH TO BE REMOVED OR TRANSPORTED FROM THE FISHERY

  • A fishing ticket must be purchased from the shop before you start setting up / fishing
  • Children under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times and supervised
  • If purchasing an under 16 years old child ticket proof of age may be requested
  • ALL nets / unhooking mats must be DRY and checked by staff before tickets are issued – if your net/unhooking mat is wet you WILL NOT be allowed to fish
  • ANGLERS are only to use the number of rods they have paid for
  • Retain your fishing ticket for our Bailiff’s to check if they request to see it
  • Please ensure your Fishing Licence is valid, and you have this with you. The Environment Agency may complete a spot check at any time.
  • Barbless hooks ONLY – Random RIG checks will be carried out by staff / bailiffs
  • Keep nets are not permitted (unless you are match fishing)
  • Rods must NOT be left unattended in the water
  • ALL fish must be handled with care, and should be returned to the lake as soon as possible
  • When photographing a fish please ensure you are kneeling down with the fish over the unhooking mat. Never stand up with the fish
  • If you are using a retention sling the maximum time permitted is 30 minutes
  • NO unauthorised NIGHT FISHING
  • ALL anglers MUST be off the premises by the time stated on the shop door Anglers fish at their OWN RISK. The owner does not accept responsibility for injury to anglers or their guests or theft / damage to their property.

 

GENERAL RULES

  •   Be courteous of other anglers!
  •  Radios and other devices are allowed but should not be audible in the next swim
  •  NO shouting or excessive bad language (we often have young children fishing)
  •  Alcohol to be used in moderation
  •  NO use of drugs
  •  All litter, old bait and line must not be left at your swim, please use the bins provided
  •  NO open bank fires / disposable BBQ’s
  • DOGS are allowed however must be kept under control and in no circumstances are permitted to be in any lakes
  • Under no circumstances are any vehicles allowed to be driven / parked on the banks

 

If you suspect a fish is sick or injured please report this to the office 

ANYONE FOUND TO BE BREAKING THE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITH NO REFUND

  •  Children under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times and supervised
  •  If purchasing an under 16 years old child ticket proof of age may be requested
  •  ALL nets / unhooking mats must be DRY and checked by staff before tickets are issued – if your net/unhooking mat is wet you WILL NOT be allowed to fish
  •    Anglers are only permitted to use the number of rods they have paid for
  •    Retain your fishing ticket for our Bailiff’s to check if they request to see it

  • You MUST have a well-padded unhooking mat or cradle
  • Landing nets must be at least 32inch (preferable 42inch) XL spoon nets are allowed
  • During the warmer months unhooking mats must be wettened down before having fish on them.
  • A carp care kit is advisable
  • A refresh bucket is required for Carp care
  • 12lb minimum B/S mainline / NO braided mainline except on Spod or marker rods. – Random RIG checks WILL be carried out by staff / bailiffs
  • Fish must be able to discharge the lead if the mainline snaps (free running lead set ups preferred)
  • No bolt rigs
  • Barbless hooks ONLY (smallest hook size allowed is a size 10)
  • Floating baits are permitted with constant vigilance to wildlife and with thought for other anglers on        the lake
  • Rods must NOT be left unattended in the water
  • When photographing fish please ensure you are kneeling down with the fish over the unhooking mat. Never stand up with the fish
  • When returning a fish to the lake you must use a sling/zipped up unhooking mat or net regardless of the distance. Fish must be Transported via a sling, mat or net.
  • ALL fish must be handled with care, and should be returned to the lake as soon as possible
  • If you are using a retention sling the maximum time permitted is 30 minutes
  • If you have purchased a 24 hour ticket you Must be off the premises by the time stated on your ticket
  • The gates will be closed and locked at night for security reasons and no access off site will be allowed during these times.
  • Anglers fish at their OWN RISK. The owner does not accept responsibility for injury to anglers or their guests or theft / damage to their property.
